I missed out on a morning sail in th estuary as I went swimming in Mach and then cycled to Aberdyfi and back before heading to the beach. The timing was perfect for a seafront offshore speed session though as the tide was now fairly low so the wind was pretty clean.

Steve and Andy were just about to go out as well so I quickly got my kit and joined them. I decided to go big so rigged my 6.3m North Warp and big 80 ltr slalom board. That sail really is a beast, a nightmare to rig, fairly heavy and cumbersome and pretty difficult to man-handle, but it's also a powerhouse so I was soon up to speed and blasting across the fairly flat water.

Top speed wasn't up to much at just over 30 knots, I guess I need more wind for some real speed, but average speeds were good and I beat my PB for 1nm, 3nm and 5nm so a pretty good day.

I only stayed out for just over an hour though as I was now pretty tired from my swim and cycle earlier in the day.
